The Cast Of "Bob's Burgers" Before They Were Famous

Bob grew up in rural Ohio. He was one of 12 children and was known around town for being a very mischievous child. His most notorious hijinks involved switching out a beloved town bar's whiskey with apple juice.

Bob spent most of his teenage years touring around following his favorite bands. Ironically, he was also in his own folk band called "The Crooning Cheeseburgers."

By the early '90s Bob's folk band had broken up due to creative differences. He then moved to Hollywood to follow a newfound dream of acting. Bob had many small roles, including being a recurring extra on SpongeBob SquarePants. It was actually during this time working on the set of SpongeBob, he met Linda.

Linda was born in Brooklyn, New York, 1957 as the middle child of three girls. Her father was a tailor and her mother a homemaker. Linda was always a ham, and loved performing for the neighborhood kids. She also regularly sang and danced for the seniors at the local retirement home.

Throughout Linda's teenage years, she was very active in her community — performing in school plays and in a musical theater troupe. She was a cheerleader in high school and was also crowned homecoming queen her senior year. She went on to study drama at The University of Rochester.

Linda's career took off immediately after college. She is best known for her roles on Broadway, which have earned her several Tony Awards. The writers of Bob's Burgers actually had her in mind when they wrote the show and based it loosely on her life with Bob in West Hollywood.

Tina, unlike her siblings and parents, never caught the acting bug. She was a shy and imaginative child with a love for cleanup time. Eventually her love of cleanup time became a little extreme, but after some counseling she learned to have a healthy relationship with cleaning.

Louise, like her mom, was very much a ham growing up and loved being the center of attention. She was a baby model for many campaigns, including Huggies Snug & Dry and Gerber baby food. When the show was offered to the family, Louise jumped at the chance for fame and, in her own words, "world domination."

Most of Louise's childhood has been on TV for all to see. In her spare time she likes to perform in underground poetry slams. Her most popular piece, "I am me and you are not," won at the National Poetry Slam in 2012.

Little known fact: Gene Belcher is actually played by 46-year-old actor Roger Hugo. Much like child star Gary Coleman, Roger is able to play such a young role due to a hormonal disorder. When writing the show, the writers realized it was a female-heavy cast and wanted to balance it more by bringing in a brother for the girls. They knew Roger from his previous work and he immediately came to mind.

Roger was born in 1968 in Pasadena, California. Growing up, he loved riding a dirt bike and collecting coins. His father owned a local butcher shop, which he worked in throughout middle school.

Roger began acting in his teenage years, snagging small roles in films such as E.T. and The Goonies. He later moved to Los Angeles to continue working as an actor full-time.

In Roger's thirties he used his young looks to score a recurring role on the TV show Recess. It was this role that gained him the notoriety that eventually got him cast as Gene in Bob's Burgers.
