This Labour Poster Pledging To Get Rid Of Katie Hopkins Is Going Viral

“None of the other parties can offer this kind of radical shit," the man behind the poster told BuzzFeed News.

This poster from the Cambridge Universities Labour Club went up in the city this morning.

Posters by @CULC up around Cambridge this morning. Only Labour can take action on blight that is Katie Hopkins.

It reminds voters that Katie Hopkins vowed to leave Britain if Ed Miliband became prime minister.

The Sun columnist and reality TV star made the promise last month when Miliband was interviewed by Jeremy Paxman. BuzzFeed News did mention at the time that it might become a campaign pledge.

Labour activists in Cambridge have finally seized on it, hoping that her emigration vow might win over wavering voters. A photo of the poster has now spread like wildfire across Twitter and Facebook.

It comes two days after Hopkins sparked an online backlash by calling for gunships to stop migrants coming to Britain.

Rory Weal, chair of the Cambridge Universities Labour Club, explained the reasoning behind the poster.

He told BuzzFeed News: "We just thought it was important to point out to students the benefits of a future Labour government. Getting rid of Katie Hopkins is a concrete way to improve Britain.

"None of the other parties can offer this kind of radical shit."

It certainly seems to have won some people over.

LOOOOL *cries tears of laughter* I think this poster alone will sway my vote. #katiehopkins #labour #ELECTION2015 https://t.co/MKziQUjYJV

Katie Hopkins' promise to leave the UK if Miliband becomes PM is surely the greatest reason to vote Labour since the founding of the party.

But as usual, Hopkins is stoic in the face of criticism.

New followers, you missed the memo. I cannot be offended. It is what makes me a powerful woman. Try harder.
