A Canadian Guy Says His Island Will Accept Americans If Trump Wins

    Welcome to your new home.

So Donald Trump won the New Hampshire primary, and now people are considering: WHAT IF HE ACTUALLY BECOMES PRESIDENT?

It seems like this is a common sentiment lately, huh?

Well, what if we told you that there's a place in Canada that would welcome you with open arms?

Say hello to Cape Breton, all ye Trump-fearing folks. Check out this website, called CBIfTrumpWins.com.

Where is Cape Breton? It's on the northern tip of Nova Scotia, just chilling, waiting for you to come visit.

Cape Breton promises affordable housing, access to abortion, and freedom to practice religion.

The island also boasts a carbon neutral university, a hockey tournament, and a bunch of other fun stuff.

Also, SEAFFFFFFOOOOOOD. ’Cause it's, like, an island. Duh.

Ok, ok, so the site is ~actually~ a "tongue in cheek" project from Cape Breton resident Rob Calabrese, CTV News reported. But he said he does hope people do appreciate the CB lifestyle.

The website redirects people to a real tourist website for the island, run by Destination Cape Breton. The group's CEO told CTV News they has received thousands of hits from Americans since Calabrese set up his website.

Calabrese, a radio host, told the National Post he has been blown away by the response to his website.

"I'm in disbelief," he said. "I wish everyone from Cape Breton could read [the messages] because they really make you proud of living here."

And Calabrese definitely wasn't kidding about being anti-Trump. "It's scary," he told CTV News. "I know I wouldn't want to live in a country where he's leader."
