That all changes on Sept. 6 with the Lifetime premiere of The Brittany Murphy Story, a TV movie based on the late actor's life, starring Last Man Standing's Amanda Fuller as Murphy, Twin Peaks alum Sherilyn Fenn as Murphy's mother, Sharon, and Kirstie's Eric Petersen as Simon Monjack, the controversial screenwriter who Murphy married in 2007 — two years before her death.
