    These dogs aren't just prepared, they are also "special" dogs. Each of them is a trained and certified therapy dog with The Good Dog Foundation.

    Volunteer handler and dog teams from The Good Dog Foundation helped comfort people affected by the East Harlem explosion who were staying in a Red Cross shelter.

    Certified Good Dog teams have also helped heal survivors of the Boston Marathon bombings, displaced residents after Hurricanes Sandy and Katrina, the children of Sandy Hook Elementary School, and survivors of September 11.

    Jennifer and her French bulldog, Sylvia, from The Good Dog Foundation visited children at the East Harlem explosion shelter set up by the Red Cross. Sylvia is a trained therapy dog.

    Trixie is a trained therapy dog from The Good Dog Foundation. She visited children in the East Harlem explosion shelter set up by the Red Cross. Trixie was happy, but the children were even happier.

    The ASPCA helped arrange a visit from The Good Dog Foundation to help children affected by the East Harlem explosion.

    As you can tell, being petted is this dog's favorite activity! She is a therapy dog from The Good Dog Foundation. She and her friends came to provide comfort to children at the East Harlem explosion shelter.
