Genius Criminal Trades A Stolen Diamond Worth $160,000 For $20 Of Weed

He might regret that one.

An Arizona man allegedly stole a diamond worth enough to buy himself a couple luxury cars and still put a down payment on a house, but instead he traded the stone for a $20 bag of weed.

Police first noticed the pricey gem was missing when a package containing it disappeared from a UPS cargo plane.

While unloading the plane, UPS employee Walter Earl Morrison reportedly stuck the package containing the diamond up his shirt, thinking it contained cash.

Instead of buying himself those cars, though, the 20-year-old traded the diamond for $20 worth of marijuana, or roughly two joints.

After police traced the theft to him, Morrison was fired and charged with felony theft, ABC affiliate KNXV reported.

The diamond was returned to its rightful owner, who hopefully knows just how much weed they could trade it for.
