A High School Held Their Graduation Early For A Student With Only 4 Months Left To Live

Kilgore High School wanted to make sure Lynzee Ford graduated from high school like any other 17-year-old.

Lynzee Ford is a 17-year-old senior at Kilgore High School in Texas. Ford was diagnosed with leukemia in January.

Doctors told her that she most likely wouldn't live long enough to graduate in the spring.

Ford was heavily involved with the athletics program at Kilgore High, and when her friends found out that she might not get to graduate with her class, they decided to move the date up.

Ford's friends, family, and the school's students and administration all gathered together to hold a graduation for the 17-year-old. Kilgore High School Principal Gregg Brown was the keynote speaker.

Ford's friends weren't satisfied with just an early graduation, though. They're moving prom up to November because of course a senior has to head to their prom after graduation.

There's a fund that's been set up to help the Ford family with medical expenses and you can read more about it on the Facebook page.
