1. Because the mouthwatering chilli crab experience is like nothing anywhere else in the world
2. Because you'll miss being graced by this ultramodern skyline whenever you need something from the city
3. Because you'll never think of bread the same way again
4. Because no other pool will ever do
5. Because you'll know there's more to noodles than Pad Thai
6. Because weekend trips to forested islands look like this

22. Because what other country will turn fish parts you usually don't eat into delicious curries?
23. Because who knew Chinese New Year was so much fun?
24. Because where else on the planet will you be able to buy everything you'd ever need at 3am?
25. Because there's things called curry puffs!
26. Because you can't get Asian Western food back home
27. Because the nature reserves are a world away from the suburbs
28. Because sensational views are the norm
29. Because churches in Singapore can look like this...

31. Because no one gives you weird looks when you admit you enjoy eating coloured snow
32. Because of the night festival!
33. Because noodles, again
34. Because there's always somewhere new to go for drinks
35. Because despite never being able to afford anything you always felt like a celebrity on Orchard Road
36. Because when night falls the city gets even more exciting
37. Because this is the view from the bar
38. Because everywhere is so clean and safe
39. Because heaven forbid you should need a change of scenery, the beautiful islands of Malaysia are only a couple of hours away
40. Or some of the ones in Indonesia
41. Because you're in the heart of Southeast Asia!
42. You'll have to admit that nowhere will be as cheap, warm and relaxed as your old local hawker
