Barbra Streisand Literally Called Tim Cook After Siri Mispronounced Her Name

    It's a soft "S," like "SAND."

So, you probably know Barbra Streisand's name. She's this lady, after all:

But do you know the NUANCES of her name? Because Siri sure doesn't.

As Babs has brought up both in concerts and in a recent interview with NPR, Siri pronounces her name like it's "Strei-ZAND," when this is not the case at all. Barbra finds this very vexing.

"[It's] Streisand with a soft 'S,' like sand on the beach," she said. "I've been saying this for my whole career."

So what do you do in this case, when you're Barbra Streisand and Siri is trying your last nerve? You call Apple CEO Tim Cook, of course. Like so:

"And so what did I do?" Babs continued. "I called the head of Apple, Tim Cook, and he delightfully agreed to have Siri change the pronunciation of my name, finally, with the next update on Sept. 30."

Can we talk about what a baller power move this is?

    GET IT, BABS.

Good luck to Barbra Streisand. We wait with bated breath for the next update.
