10 Beautiful Marine Organisms That Just Don't Get Enough Love

    We think that charismatic megafauna like dolphins, sea turtles and whales get an unfair advantage in the media. Yes, we get it. They’re cute. They’re easy to love. Who doesn’t want a “Save the Sea Turtles” license plate? But frankly, we’re tired of hearing about the “popular kids” of the sea. What about the organisms that do the hard work? The ones that might be a little camera shy, but are vital to the health of our oceans and coasts. Help the National Sea Grant College Program celebrate its 50th Anniversary by showing some love for the underappreciated critters and plants of the sea.
