Supplies
One egg
Distilled white vinegar
A jar large enough to fit the egg
Optional: Food coloring
Instructions
# Place the egg in the jar and fill the jar with vinegar until it is completely covered.
# If you prefer a colorful egg, add a few drops of food coloring. Close the jar lid tightly.
# Wait for 24 hours.
# Remove the egg from the vinegar and gently rub the shell off in water. If it doesn't come off smoothly, you will need to soak it more.
This works because of osmosis.
