Of course, Jess Mariano — Ventimiglia's character on the iconic Gilmore Girls series — also came up.
Fallon is very publicly Team Jess, so Ventimiglia brought him a Jess pin.
That was when Fallon brought up the famous GG debate about Rory's boyfriend and asked Ventimiglia if he was Team Jess.
At first, Ventimiglia explained that he loves Jared Padalecki and Matt Czuchry, the actors who play Dean and Logan on Gilmore Girls.
But when Fallon pressed harder and asked what he really thought about their fictional characters, Ventimiglia answered by posing a very valid question: "Were those guys Team Rory?"
