In other words, textured walls are not only appealing to eyes but they also serve an important purpose.

    One of the best ways to add texture to the walls of a house is to buy the right kind of tools. For example, the options of rolls, brush, and taping knife are easily available in the market. However, it does not mean that the option of making one’s own customized tools is wrong. There are some DIYs that would allow you to create the impression of professionally done textured walls. To name a few, the comb can be used to add texture to the wall or plastic folded in different shapes or folds could also help you to form interesting patterns. The main idea is to use the easily available stuff to create a fine look of the walls, the options are unlimited, and it is all up to the person to what extent one can get creative with the textures.

    Two Broad Types of Textures

    In terms of the types of textures, there are two main broad themes.     The second step is to do the mixing of the compound you have chosen for texturing with the moderate amount of water to get the needed consistency, remember , it should neither be too thick, neither too thin. Because both the extreme forms of consistency could affect the end result. Some of the experts prefer to use hand to create the perfect consistency of the compound, while others recommend using the paddle, especially if you are preparing a mixture in a large quantity. However, if you are interested in making a pattern that is subtle to look at, thin consistency of the compound will be very useful in that regard. Likewise, bold texture can be created if you use less water with the compound to form a thick mixture.
