More fruit is always a good idea.

    2. But if you do need to peel it, use a glass.

    3. Store your avocados in a plastic bag in the fridge with red onion, it'll stop them going brown.

    4. Or is your rock-hard avo taking too long to ripen? Whack it in a paper bag with a banana and apple to speed up the process.

    5. If you want a sliced apple for the road, cut it up then put the pieces back together and secure with a rubber band.

    6. Or eat them whole from the top-down. You'll get a lot more fruit this way, as the only part of the core you can't eat is at the bottom.

    7. Use a straw to get the tops off your strawberries.

    8. Put salt on watermelon to really bring out the sweetness.

    9. And do the same thing with salt and chilli powder on pineapple.

    13. Chop off the top and bottom of a mandarin or orange, then unroll it for a much easier way to eat.

    14. Cut kiwis in half and eat them with a spoon.

    15. Or if you want to chop them up for fruit salads, use a vegetable peeler to get the skin off.

    16. Before juicing a lemon or lime, microwave it for about 10 seconds. This'll make it a lot easier to get juice out.

    17. If you're buying a whole watermelon, look at the "belly" of it which is a light spot on the bottom. If it's buttery yellow, you're good to go. If it's white, it's not yet ripe.

    18. And with pineapples, just pull out one of its centre leafs. If it comes out easily, the fruit is ripe.
