At this point in 2017, everyone and their grandma know that it's socially acceptable for yoga pants to replace pants.

However, it wasn't fate that predisposed our generation of women to cling onto their blend of lycra and cotton.

In fact, I remember a simpler time when hardly anyone owned yoga pants.

Ladies and gents— let's not forget gaucho pants exist.

This was the quintessential mid-2000s wardrobe piece that EVERY cool girl had in middle school.

And I mean when I said ALL the cool girls had them, Miley Cyrus herself gave the gaucho pant her blessing.

I get the feeling it might be time for a revival.

Long live the gaucho pants.
