Honestly, I don't know how I made it this long without one.
When it comes to traveler's notebooks, there are no rules, only suggestions. So you have a lot of freedom to make it work for you.
But let's back up for a second. What exactly is a traveler's notebook?
*cracks knuckles* Have a seat while I impart the gospel upon ye.
The pockets are really handy if you're a journaler who likes to keep stencils and stickers on hand, or if you're a human who likes to carry snacks always.
Is it starting to make sense now? You can combine different types of notebooks as you see fit to suit your particular lifestyle. So if that means a lined notebook for day-to-day journaling, a dot-grid notebook for your planner, a graph-paper notebook for habit tracking, and maybe even an unlined notebook for some de-stressing doodling...go for it! You can also get a mixed set if you want to sample a few at once.
And don't stress too much about finding the right size. It's up to you how large or small you want your journal to be, and since the sizes are pretty standard, you'll be able to find inserts that work for you. Just make sure you double-check the size before you order!
I used a rubber band because I'm a penny-pinchin' lady who lives life on the edge, but a lot of travel journalers recommend the official Midori bands because they last much longer and are less likely to snap on you. Also, they're only $5.60 on Amazon!
\(★ω★)/ So much more room for sticker sheets! There are tons of ways to arrange your notebook, and you can fall deep into a YouTube hole if you want some in-depth tutorials and inspiration.
(For example, I asked for four elastics instead of just one because I'm a little extra. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯)
