1. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC)
You can be a "champion" for immigration reform and still loathe "anchor babies." "They come here to drop a child. It's called 'drop and leave.' To have a child in America, they cross the border, they go to the emergency room, have a child, and that child's automatically an American citizen. That shouldn't be the case. That attracts people here for all the wrong reasons."

2. Rep Steve King (R-Iowa)
Rep. Steve King did not waste any time with his immigration agenda, dropping a bill on the first day of Congress that goes after brown babies. King’s measure would amend the Immigration and Nationality Act, ending automatic citizenship for anyone born in the country. “We need to address anchor babies. This isn’t what our founding fathers intended.” There's actually no such thing as "anchor babies." A child born in the USA to undocumented immigrants cannot sponsor her/his parents till the age of 21! But I bet Steve King won't tell you that.

3. Rep. Gohmert (TX)
"It appeared that [the terrorists] would have young women, who became pregnant, would get them into the United States to have a baby," Gohmert said during a speech on the House floor. "And then they would turn back where they could be raised and coddled as future terrorists." BTW, Gohmert could not confirm what FBI agent gave him that information quite possibly because he is making up this baloney. Someone please deport Louie Gohmert to the asylum.

4. Congressperson Brian Bilbray
"The right of birthright citizenship is earned by your parents' obligation to serve the country." That's a nice trap Bilbray. First, make sure that there is no immigration reform so that undocumented parents cannot get their papers, assimilate and serve out in the open. Then, attack their American-born children because their parents are supposedly not serving the country. Real nice.

5. Speaker John Boehner
The only person of color to support a repeal of birthright citizenship! He thinks that it is worth considering because undocumented immigrants came here to have babies, not that there is any evidence to support that claim.

6. Dana Rohrabacher (R-Calif.)
Rohrabacher is not even trying to hide his racism. A threat to non-minority American citizens? Just say it plainly: We don't want your brown children here.

"I think we ought to take a look at it -- hold hearings, listen to the experts on it," McConnell said. "I haven't made a final decision about it, but that's something that we clearly need to look at. Regardless of how you feel about the various aspects of immigration reform, I don't think anybody thinks that's something they're comfortable with."

9. Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce
Arizona State Senator Russell Pearce, co-author of the bill that made the failure to carry immigration documents a crime, came out swinging on CNN when a reporter asked him about his move to end birthright citizenship for children of undocumented immigrants. "Blame mom and dad or whoever put you in that position." And how does creating more undocumented babies and stateless Americans resolve the question of broken laws and borders?

10. Penn State Rep. Daryl Metcalfe
Mr. Metcalfe has brought together a coalition of Republican state lawmakers: the State Legislators for Legal Immigration (SLLI) task force. His one goal: repeal birthright citizenship. It is unclear how that promotes legal immigration especially since disenfranchising young babies creates a bigger population of undocumented immigrants.
