    This week, we wanted to try out some awesome/weird/fun Korean beauty products to see if they live up to the hype.

    We went through some of the most popular skin care and makeup products out there.

    To start, we tried the TonyMoly Panda's Dream Eye Patches.

    We are almost always tired, so anything that promises to brighten the eye area needs to be put on our faces immediately. They promise to hydrate the skin around your eyes, too, which helps with "vitality."

    They're very cold and slimy, but it actually helps to slide the patches right over your eyes!

    Once they're smoothed onto your eye area, you wait 10 minutes for the juices to work their magic.

    We used the wait time very productively.

    When your time is up, you peel those bad boys right off.

    Our eyes felt super awake and refreshed afterward. Plus, if we were trying these at home (as opposed to in our office) where we were actually relaxing, it would only get better. Even if it's just for 10 minutes, the ~personal~ time was worth it.

    ONTO THE NEXT ONE. The Dr. Jart+ Pore Minimalist Black Charcoal Sheet Mask.

    Here's the deal with this mask: It's a sheet that's got charcoal, spearmint extract, and a bunch of other amazing ingredients that work to detox and tighten your pores.

    We got another slimy one!

    The sheet is soaked in the skin care product that actively works on your face, hence the slime factor.

    To our surprise, this alien-bank-robber-mask-shaped thingy actually fit our faces.

    Same deal as the eye patches — you just smooth the mask over your entire face and wait 15 minutes for the ingredients to do their thing. During that time, you need to do your best to not move your face at ALL.

    You need to forget emotions altogether, because the best thing you can do for your skin is to keep completely still as not to move this mask. It won't mess up your face or anything, but it does feel like an interruption to The Process.

    After 15 minutes, we removed the masks...

    After the removal, you rub in the excess product to your skin instead of washing it off.

    We gave this mask 5/5 stars, too, because we legit felt like newborn baby angel faces when we peeled it off.

    Now onto the makeup! Next on our list was the Chosungah 22 Jello Color Eyeshadow Palette.

    This palette is famous for its spongy, jello-like texture. The shades are all neutrals with a mix between shimmer and matte finishes, so it's basically an all-in-one eyeshadow product. It's meant to look really natural, and the ingredients have a blend of argan oil and shea butter that are really moisturizing.

    You can get it in two different shades here for $39.

    It has the coolest texture we've ever felt. The shadow itself is a powder, but its spongy texture is way too fun to play with.

    It glided right on and was super easy to blend.

    Overall, though, we gave this palette 3.5/5 stars.

    It's nice for just a sheer wash of color, but if we wanted to only have one eyeshadow palette, any kind of bold eye look would have worked with this palette.

    Next, we tried the Chosungah 22 Multicolor Pigments in shades Berry Red and Orange.

    It's a 2-in-1 lip and cheek color pen that delivers pigments in eight different shades.

    You can get any of the eight shades here for $20.

    After you take off the cap, you click the back end of the stick and the pigment comes out through the sponge-tip applicator.

    TBH this is just REALLY fun to use.

    Dab it on the lips, then dab it on the cheeks...

    And blend it just like you would a regular blush.

    We gave this product 4/5 stars. The only reason it didn't get a perfect score was because the product felt a little sticky on our skin.

    If you're into sheer products, you'll probably love this.

    Last, we tried the Dinoplatz Loose & Silly Setting Powder from the brand Too Cool For School.

    It's a makeup setting powder with SPF 27 that "protects and spotlights the face." It only comes in two shades, though, so we were skeptical.

    You can get it here in either shade for $36.

    The top of this powder jar — which also has a powder puff for easy application — screws off and can be dipped directly into the powder container.

    This proved to get messy. Fast.

    On first swipe, we were not impressed.

    But then, after some blending, we started to see some good results.

    We gave this an average of 3.5/5 stars. Partly because it's too light for brown skin tones, and partly because it's less translucent than necessary in general.

    HOWEVER, it's great for oil control and definitely sets your makeup. We just need some more shade options!
