It's not often that we get to see glimpses of Taylor Swift's private life. But when she went on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, even Taylor was shocked by one very private moment she had — and never expected the rest of the world to see.
Jimmy Fallon totally blindsided her when he told her, "Your mom may or may not have videotaped you after surgery — and she gave us the video."
The video begins with Taylor trying to grab a snack after coming home from her LASIK surgery. She goes for a bunch of bananas, but everything falls apart once she picks the wrong one.
"That wasn't the one I wanted," she says, on the verge of tears.
"Okay. I tried to get this one," she says. "But what do we do with this one now? It doesn't have a head." She is very concerned.
"Sometimes it doesn't go your way," she says, casually dropping a pearl of wisdom.
Cut to Taylor eating a banana in bed, one minute away from drifting off. "Don't fall asleep eating the banana, okay," her mom tells her.
"I'm not asleep! My mind is alive!" she says.
After the video aired, Taylor was as caught off guard by that footage as the rest of us. Her response? "Oh my god. That's on television?"
