Conclusion...
Here's the compiled list of reasons for book bans: having religious sentiments, pornography, magic, violence and offensive language. Ironically, they all have high readership despite being deemed unsuitable for many readers. This could be due to the wide perspectives they offer, which includes challenging your current beliefs, ideas or methodologies.
However, I do agree that there are books that can be turned into fearsome weapons if malicious thoughts are being put into it. For example, the author may force you to think in a specific thought process, which in turn, becomes a stereotype.
If fictional books are banned because they have questionable content (i.e. magic and witchcraft), then why are fairy tales so widely accepted and popular? Should they be criticized and banned for making us believe in the impossible and glorifying perfect endings for every situation?
What kind of books are we allowed to read?
