26 Incredibly Fun Drinking Games You've Never Heard Of

Just in case you need another reason to drink.

1. Where's The Water?

Set up lots of identical cups and fill them with either a clear alcohol (tequila, vodka, white rum) or water. The first person takes picks a random cup, takes a sip, and tries to convince everyone in the group that it's water regardless of what's actually inside. The trick is to keep a straight face even when you sip the alcohol. The group guesses whether or not the cup is filled with water. If they're right, the first person drinks. If they're wrong, everyone else drinks.

2. Sixes

You'll need a dice for this one, and six drinking vessels of ascending size order — the smallest can be a shot glass and the largest can be a small bowl, for instance. Each cup will have a different drink (definitely use a mixer for the bigger containers), and then you take turns rolling the dice and drinking whichever number it lands on.

3. Truth Or Drink

Pretty much like truth or dare, expect when someone doesn't want to honestly answer the question they were asked, they drink.

4. Roxanne

Put on "Roxanne" by The Police, and drink every time you hear the word "Roxanne." Simple enough, and you can do it with a lot songs. "WAP" by Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion is a good option too.

5. I Drink And I Know Things

Yes, it sounds like that Tyrion Lannister quote from Game of Thrones, but this game actually has nothing to do with the show. It's a trivia game that starts when one person says "I drink and I know," followed by a piece of trivia they know. For example, you might say "I drink and I know the square root of 81." Then everybody blurts out the answer, and if someone in the group doesn't know the answer they have to drink. The person who answered first makes the next statement. If nobody in the group knows the answer, then the asker says it and makes another statement about something they know.

6. Game of Thrones

7. Most Likely

8. Disney Princess Drinking Game

9. Put on any movie or show and look up a list of drinking game rules online.

This is kind of a broad one, but it's similar to the Disney Princess game and a recipe for laughs and fun. Basically, put on the show or money of your choice, and then look up a drinking game for it. We've even done the work for you.

Watching a rom-com? Here's a list of clichés. Drink whenever you see one.

Horror movie? We've got you covered.

10. Straight Face

All players write sentences on small pieces of paper. What kind of sentences? Ones that are ridiculous or inappropriate; ones that anyone would struggle to read (or hear) while keeping a straight face.

One at a time, each player will choose a slip of paper and attempt to read whatever is written on it without giggling or cracking a smile. If they fail, they have to drink.

11. Drunken Artists

12. I'm Going to the Bar

Did you ever play the game I'm Going on a Picnic? This is like that...only with drinks. The first person begins by saying, "I'm going to the bar and I need to get a mojito" (or any other alcoholic beverage). After that, the ensuing players repeat the drink that the previous players said... but add another drink to the list as well.

Here's an example of what you'd have to say a few rounds in: "I'm going to the bar and I need to get a mojito, a tequila shot, a gin and tonic, and a hot toddy." You keep going and going until someone messes up; whoever messes up first takes a shot.

13. Sip Sip Shot

14. True or False Storytime

Everyone writes down various nouns on pieces of paper. When it's your turn, you select a piece, and roll the dice (not letting anyone see what number you rolled).

If you roll an even number, you need to tell a true story from your life involving whatever was written on the piece of paper. If you roll an odd number, you make a story up.

For example: If the piece of paper said "mosquito" and you rolled a two, you could tell that story about the time a mosquito bit you on your nipple while you were camping; if you rolled a three, you'd make up a story about a mosquito flying up your nose while you were making out with your high school boyfriend.

Everyone listens to your story and guesses if it's true or false. If they're wrong, *they* drink; if they're right, *you* drink (one gulp for every person who guesses correctly).

15. Attached at the Hip

16. Concoctions

Here's a game for people with strong stomachs. Get some dice and have everyone head to the kitchen. One at a time, players roll the die. If you roll a four, the other players will put together a little "treat" for you made up of four items: for instance, a Dorito chip topped with a bit of mustard, some onion dip, and an M&M. Will you eat it? If you do, *they* have to drink. If you won't, *you* have to drink. Bon appétit!

17. Medusa

18. Cup Swap

Each player needs two cups (one that's full of some sort of alcoholic beverage and one that's empty) and a spoon. Participants have one minute to transfer as much of their drink as possible from one cup to the other using the spoon. When the minute is up, you have to drink whatever's left in the original cup.

19. Bullshit

20. Drink While You Think

The first person names a celebrity (Emma Watson, for example). The person to their left names a celebrity whose name begins with the letter of that celebrity's last name (Watson → Walt Disney). You must drink while you think of a name.

21. Paranoia

22. Let's Go Camping

Someone picks a place to go hypothetically camping (a basketball court, for example), but keeps it secret. Players suggest things to bring and the winner is the person who correctly guesses where they're camping. So, "a tent" is wrong, because there are no tents in basketball courts. But "sneakers" or "water bottle" would be right. If you guess wrong, you take a drink. If you win, you choose the next destination.

23. Titanic

24. Flip It or Sip It

Flip a coin and guess if it will land heads or tails. If you're wrong, sip your drink and pass the coin to the left. If you're right, you can pass the coin to the right.

25. Cheers to the Governor

26. Pennies

Take turns trying to bounce a penny off the table into a glass. If you miss, you drink. If you get three pennies in a row, you get to make up a new rule.

Have fun! And remember to drink responsibly, and only if you want to.
