Selena Gomez Reportedly Had A Panic Attack Moments Before Her AMAs Performance

Selena's AMAs performance was widely criticised by those watching from home, but recent reports suggest a "last-minute" panic attack was to blame.

After her recent performance was slated by critics and trolls alike, reports have surfaced claiming that Selena Gomez had a panic attack just moments before she took to the AMAs stage.

Selena opened the night with performances of her latest songs "Look At Her Now" and "Lose You To Love Me", which recently topped the Billboard Hot 100.

However, her first live performance in two years was met with a lukewarm response as those watching at home called it "off-key" and "shaky".

But now it's been reported that, moments before she was due to perform, Selena's nerves were so bad that she had a panic attack backstage.

According to People, a source said: "She definitely had a panic attack. She was nervous. She hasn't been on stage in two years, and it's an important song in her career. She really wanted to deliver."

However, the source went on to say that, despite what happened before taking to the stage, Selena went on to enjoy the rest of her night with friends.

Selena herself said it was "good to be back" in an Instagram caption after the event, where she thanked her team and fans for standing by her.
