I did not know that I would be saying this in 2020, but it turns out that Sia is quite possibly the inspiration we all need to take on the new year headfirst.
Yes, you read that right — Sia, the wig-covering-face, say-it-as-it-is powerhouse singer who is favoured by the Kardashians but not by chandeliers (you really shouldn't swing on those; it's dreadfully unsafe).
Why is she an inspiration, I hear you ask? WELL, in a typically candid fashion, Sia just revealed in a recent interview that she and Diplo are furiously trying not to have sex with each other. And the confessions didn't even end there!
Speaking to GQ for a Diplo feature (which was truly wild in itself, even if you take this section out), Sia called Diplo "the sweetest thing in the world" but also "one of the most insecure boys I've ever met".
At this point, I gently raised a singular eyebrow because Sia just called Diplo attractive out of the blue for no apparent reason. But what came next truly had me hollering.
"Much of our relationship is just being spent trying not to have sex so that we wouldn't ruin our business relationship, because he's super-duper hot," Sia announced.
Cue my reaction.
But Sia wasn't even finished — she then revealed that she'd also sent him a text recently laying it all out on the line. What did said text say exactly? Well, I'm glad you asked.
"Hey, listen, you're like one of five people that I'm sexually attracted to..."
"...and now that I've decided to be single for the rest of my life..."
"...and I just adopted a son..."
"I don't have time for a relationship..."
"...if you're interested in some no-strings sex, then hit me up."

Sia shooting her shot is the EXACT energy we should be taking into 2020. No other energy will do!
And wait a minute, Sia also just casually revealed that she's adopted a son?! There's just so much to unpack here!
